Valentine's Day and the day before

On Saturday, we will be celebrating Valentine's Day at all of the restaurants.

Krog Bar is a great place for the intimate crowd and will be serving its regular menu beginning at 4:30 pm.

Kevin Rathbun Steak will be celebrating the evenings with their regular menu plus specials.

Rathbun's will be serving its regular menu with specials on Friday and on Saturday, will be serving a prix fix menu with courses for $85.00 plus tax and gratuity.

If you cannot secure a reservation on Saturday, please ask for Friday.

Dining out in Restaurants

With all of the media articles out there in the news telling people how to save money, we would like to offer some tips on how to dine out more often and have it cost less.

1. Dine out at Krog Bar and enjoy the small plates menu.

2. Dine out at Kevin Rathbun Steak and order the small filet mignon instead of the larger one.

3. Sine out at Rathbun's and order from the Big Plates side of the menu.

4. Order desserts at Rathbun's. They are big enough to fill you yet only cost $3.95

Kevin Rathbun Steak Advances To “Elite 8”
in National Steakhouse Bracket


Finally, some positive news coming out for the local restaurant business. In the March edition of "Every Day with Rachel Ray", the nationally read magazine selects the top steakhouses in the United States. Kevin Rathbun Steak made it to the "Elite Eight" in the magazines steakhouse bracket set up like the NCAA final four basketball tournament.

In the magazine, Kevin Rathbun Steak competed with local and national steakhouse players like Bones, Bern's & Peter Luger. In the first round, Kevin Rathbun Steak was paired against Bone's of Atlanta and beat them. Kevin Rathbun Steak advanced to the next round and competed against Houston's Nelore Churrascaria with Kevin Rathbun Steak taking the win. Kevin Rathbun Steak then met Mississippi's Doe's Eat Place and won again. In the final round, Kevin Rathbun Steak went up against Bern's Steakhouse where Bern's eventually won the steakhouse tournament.

That placed Kevin Rathbun Steak to one of the top eight steakhouses in the United States.
